keep praying

a quick update:

despite the positive outlook of our last update, mina has now been moved to the pediatric intensive care unit because most of her major organs are failing (liver, kidney, pancreas) as a result of the chemo.  the doctors have taken her off her chemo treatments to allow her body to recover, since the chemo kills good cells along with the bad.  she's intubated and couldn't talk to us, but sleeps most of the day anyway.  she has lost a lot of weight and has started losing some hair, and her tummy became really distended from fluids from her organs.  she started dialysis last week.

we ask and plead that you would continue to keep praying for mina.  our hearts break that any 11-year old should go through this, but we know that God is in control and has a plan.  we have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all of you, and we're so thankful for friends and family who care so much.  God hears our prayers, and he is good.  please especially lift up mina's parents and siblings, that they will find the peace that transcends all understanding as they struggle to understand why this is happening.  pray for a miracle!  our God can do anything.
